How to get Class Unlock 'Proof of Class' in 'RE: Tree of Savior Mobile' CBT

How to get Class Unlock "Proof of Class" in "RE: Tree of Savior Mobile" CBT
Got a couple of questions asking how to unlock another class so I went ahead and tried to figure it out with my handy dandy translator app and context clues.

EDIT: Mistranslation. I thought it said unlocked at level 24, apparently it was "Recommended Level 24."

So I'm assuming you get your third "proof of class" once you're around level 24. Just keep checking your quest menu and hope the new quest pops up in the fourth tab.

'Ragnarok Mobile' Saint 4th Job is Here... and me too!

Just a quick update to anyone who still frequents the site!

I realize that the post before this is of why I quit Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. 😅 *cue irony*

But that cursed fourth job came and then a new mobile phone came and with a stable job that I've adjusted to, I think it's time.

And so I'm back. :D

Definitely has been overwhelming. So many new quests, so many new updates, and just absolutely so many things to do. If I remember correctly, I quit around the time Niflheim was coming out, so around Episode 5.0.

Main focus for now is completing quests at my own pace, relearning the skills of playing a priest (*cough*cough* which you can read here) and continuing wherever I was in getting those equips to farm effectively.

I think now that I'm not really participating in WoE, I can focus better on getting my MATK up which should help me save zeny (roughly 2M on main which is like 200x better than the last time I played) which in turn unlocks faster gear upgrades and then finally build my support. :D

So yeah. So many things to do and just the right amount of time to do them.

There will be guides definitely, but not anytime soon. I've got a lot of catching up to do and it'd be a disservice to you guys if I release guides without the proper amount of knowledge and know-how of the current state of the game. I'm sure no one wants a guide that's misleading and severely lacking.

You can, however, follow my progress over at StHealsLIVE where I randomly stream my grinds and sometimes my questing. Usually, in the mornings, around 6am GMT+8 every day. There's nothing in it but just numbers of my matk and slow gear upgrades and adjustments. It's actually more for me to keep track of my damage as I progress... maybe it'll help you too? Ish.

Hoping to hear from you guys soon and how returning to the game has been! Would love to know how you guys reacclimated to the game and if there are any things I /should/ look out for. :)

See you in game!

Why StHeals Quit 'Ragnarok M: Eternal Love' - A Whiny Essay

Hey guys!

It's been a while. A very long while... 😅

If you haven't heard, yes, I've been gone from the Ragnarok M: Eternal Love gaming scene since May 2019, I think, right about the time when I got hired as a full-time editor for a video-editing company. I did try to continue playing as if I still had all the time in the world and the machine to do it.

But first, my iPhone 5s could not run the game anymore. An update from December 2018 was just too big and my phone could not handle it. Since January 2019, I've been playing mostly on my PC, using Android emulators to run the game for most of the day. And that worked, for a while, but we all know how system demanding video-editing can be and at some point, it could not work anymore. The game was affecting my job.

Second, no access to a phone meant no access to buying monthly cards directly. I did not want to spend more than I needed for the monthly perks. I know, I know, this isn't really cause to quit the game, some of you guys might even say, "Well I play the game for free!" And sure, you do you. There are just certain perks from the monthly subscription that I could not live without knowing that I've depended on them since the game's launch. I actually don't even remember what these perks were but I do remember not wanting to grind long. And yes, I could've bought from the markets in-game, but I didn't have the funds. To get the funds, I needed to be overly competitive and be super-duper active and I just didn't have the same excitement I got when I started playing to make me want to go insane on those zenies.

Third, the game's bugs. I overlooked these before just because I enjoyed the game more than paying  attention to the game's shortcomings. But there came a time when the bugs became too much for me. The ginormous update being one of the most annoying ones. How hard is it to make sure updates work for everyone? Maybe a lot of work... but it forces to people to either live with it and look for alternatives, ie. PC, or buy a new phone. I mean... I'm not as rich as that guy who spends billions on in-game cash to get limited costumes.

Fourth, those obvious pay-to-win items. We can only lie to ourselves for so long, thinking that I'm good, I can play the game without investing cash but seriously. Those paid items just add so much stats which you can get by just one click of $$$. Sure, you can grind and catch up, but I think time is much more valuable than money, at least for me.

Lastly, WOE. This was the tip of the iceberg. It all boils down to this, when everyone's competing to be at the very top. It's not enough that you have to grind for n amount of hours each day, you have to do ET runs, you have to hunt MVPs and you have to participate in all the other dailies and weeklies to make sure you're caught up because missing just one of these means you'll be a step behind and if you're up against someone who spends all their time in-game and spends an absurd amount of cash on their stats, well then, just a step behind is alot.

Sure, again, free-to-play players can catch up, they can be smarter and level the playing field with just sheer skill and communication with teammates. But, and there's always a but, who has the time. 😓 Even f2p players can be hell to go against if they spend more hours on the game than you do.

If you do, congrats, hats off to you. But there came a point in my Ragnarok gaming life that the cons were outweighing the pros. WOE felt like a job. Grinding felt like a job. Dailies and weeklies felt like a job. Everything about the game felt like a job.

If you still enjoy the game up to this day or thinking about starting your mobile Ragnarok journey then go ahead. I'm not stopping you. I'm just here saying why I stopped. Enjoy the game, enjoy it with friends, enjoy the game just because you want to.

I've had my fill and it's been fun but at the base of it all, I can only allot so much time for everything I have to do in order to actually live and Ragnarok, while it had been fun, was not doing it for me.

So props to everyone still sticking with the game until now and may the odds be forever, in your favor.

StHeals, signing out. 😖

PS. I'm sure I'm leaving out a heck load of details in this post and I'm sure people will hate me for being unnecessarily negative about the game but I've been wanting to, at the very least, explain my extended leave of absence (lol) in case some of you guys have been wondering where has this blogger/feeling-guide been off to and why hasn't he been posting any more guides. 😣

Big Book of MINIs, MVPs, and SMVPs in 'Ragnarok M: Eternal Love'

Saint's Guide to Everything
A list of currently available MVPs, SMVPs, and MINIs in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love with a few tips and suggestions here and there.

Here's a list of all available MVPs, MINIs, and SMVPs in the current version of Ragnarok Mobile SEA which probably applies to Global as well. Listed below are the bosses' names alongside their element, where they appear, and notable loots:

NAME

Race - Element
Location
Notable Loots
A few tips and tricks are listed as well based on observations, experiences and any info gathered from the web. Low-level bosses are usually easy to hunt but the only problem is the number of people hunting them. Be wary of Knights that cast taunts mercilessly to steal aggro and flywing the boss away. Higher level mobs hit harder and hence lesser competition though this also means that you have to pay attention to what is happening on the screen and know of boss mechanics to ensure survivability. A good party composition, ample communication, and focused attention are the basic requirements one needs for greater chances at looting boss drops. Of course, gearing up your toons with equipment specifically catered for boss hunts don't hurt.

Boss mobs that have Matk AoE spells are usually a deadly encounter and require a good party composition while those that are physical-based are much easier to hunt. I included deadly Matk skills (read: skills that can wipe a party in one hit) in the list below, to the best of my knowledge.

As for loot mechanics, presumably, MINIs use the first hit formula while MVPs use the last hit formula. These are not set in stone, however, as the formulas sometimes don't add up and other parties get the loots. I would advise that your party always gets the first and last hit as well as keeping DPS as high as possible for the third formula: most damages dealt.

Additionally, based on observation, a boss drops a specific number of loots that are randomly and equally shared between party members hence why some prefer hunting boss mobs alone to get all the loots, ie. five loots equals 1 loot per party member compared to five loots all going to a solo player. Though due to the sheer number of competition one might face when hunting bosses, a good party still beats solo play, at least for me, and well, it's just more fun playing with other people. (Ragnarok is still an MMO, not an offline single player game.) But by all means, if you want all the phat lootz to yourself then no one is stopping you. :P

Any and all suggestions for hunting specific boss mobs are welcome and please do point out any errors or misconceptions on my part. I will add to this list where applicable and keep it as up to date as possible. Good luck, have fun and happy hunting! :)

Special thanks to my guildmates from PH21 - Sicario for helping with additional info. <3

Reminders:

  • For Priests, remember that Clearance has random chances of hitting even when used against boss mobs to remove their reflect (Highly Effective Clearance). A white shield will appear above the MVP's head, much like our Kyrie Eleison, which indicates that their Reflect skill is still working. If you can't see the shield, either it's been dispelled or you have to turn "Special Effects" on in your Settings.
  • For Tanks, boss mobs that have cast times can be interrupted with Taunts. Spam it all day, errday.
  • For high-level mobs, a good tactic is to lure boss mobs to Ariel or that healer NPC available in every map. Luring mobs to her, though, means other parties will have greater survivability as well. If you have a support in your group, I would advise staying away from Ariel.
  • Channel hopping applies a 2-hour penalty to your character that makes it miss all of its attacks against boss mobs. Boss mobs can still kill your toon though.
  • Boss mobs have HP protection. Skills that would otherwise one-hit normal mobs will be weaker against boss mobs. So despite a low-level boss mob, it will still stay up fairly longer than normal mobs in its level range. Smokie still dies in less than 30 seconds though.

ELEMENT

Note: All 2X (200%) damage unless otherwise stated.

Fire > Earth > Wind > Water > Fire
Holy < > Shadow
Holy, Fire, Water (150%) > Undead > Holy
Ghost < > Ghost (175%) > Undead
Holy (125%) > Poison
Poison (125%) > Wind, Earth, Fire

MINI

Requires Falcon Perception skill from Adventure Skills to see on the minimap.

Note: Low-level boss mobs are a game of luck. While they are easy to kill, you won't be the only person hunting them. Pray to the RNG gods that they spawn within your range or appear on your first flywing warp or else it's a goner.

Tidal Shoes
Ghost Bandana Blueprint
Needs a camera upgraded with the Ghost Camera function from Adventure Skills. Snap a pic of Ghostring (like you do with Marionette or Whisper) for it to appear. Also, lock on the mob first before taking a picture of it just so your toon immediately fires at it after your camera makes it visible.

Gryphon heals whenever you use normal or auto attacks. Only use skills when dealing with this MINI. I am not so sure too if VR mechanics apply to world Gryphon (because he dies pretty fast) but just in case, if Gryphon is not killed within 90 seconds, he fully regenerates his health.

Pyramid 2F
Bloody Rune

Exorcist Robe

Dark Illusion

Demon - Undead
Glast Heim Churchyard
Exorcism Bible

Clock Tower 2F
Evil Eye Blueprint
Key of Clock Tower
Windrunner Cape

Chepet

Demi-human - Fire
Toy Factory 2F
Ice Powder
Magic Firewood Blueprint
Ice Pick
Fire Pillar Spear hurts like hell. Also, if you see a countdown timer appearing above your toon and a yellow line appearing between you and Chepet, run as far as you can. This is her Flame Firing skill that may 1-hit KO. She also has a skill that summons a red ring around her. This red ring gets smaller and smaller each time. I'm not quite as sure as to how this works but supposedly, the last three sizes of this ring are the deadly ones since fire effects will appear within the ring that 1-hit KOs as well. Run.

Owl Baron

Demon - Neutral
Glast Heim
Monocle Blueprint
Static Shield
Crystal Mirror
Spearfish Pike

Bloody Knight

Formless - Shadow
Glast Heim Chivalry
Dark Knight Mask Blueprint

Stormy Knight

Formless - Wind
Toy Factory 1F
Rudolph's Horn Blueprint
Storm Pike
Ice Powder
Elder's Hammer
People apply ET mechanics here wherein the tank will lure the MVP down one of the four middle lanes while the rest of the party snipe at it from above. SK summons a copy of himself as his HP dwindles.

Hatii

Brute - Water
Gingerbread City
Icy Brand Blueprint
Fang of Garm
Fairy in Bottle
Dwarf King's Axe
Hatii is summoned after killing all Lunatics in Gingerbread City and has a two hour respawn time. He has a healing mechanic wherein ice cones are summoned and stay up for a while before Hatii finally casts "Icey Heal" which may bring him back to full HP. I am not certain, though, if these "cones" can be damaged to prevent Hatii from healing. (Any help or clarifications would be greatly appreciated. :) )

SMVP

SMVPs are special MVPs that are part of headgear quests: Devil Wing, Wandering Minstrel Hat, and Gold Christmas Bell. Time Keeper and Chepet drop the same loots as their MVP/MINI counterparts. They rotate each week.
