How to Unlock Devil Wing Recipe in 'Ragnarok M: Eternal Love'

Devil Wing Recipe 'Ragnarok M: Eternal Love'

Here's a little guide for people who want to get their Devil Wing blueprints unlocked in the Glast Heim Smile Assistance NPC. The whole quest chain to get it unlocked will take a minimum of 4 weeks to complete if you haven't started hunting Special MVPs (SMVPs).

So what are the bonus stats that a Devil Wing headgear (back headgear) gives your toon?

Devil Wing Headgear Stats:
All stats +1
Dmg +5%
M.Dmg +5%

Materials needed:
Cyfar 2479 pcs.
Biotite 6 pcs.
Broken Blade 10 pcs.
Black Wing 450 pcs.

In the simplest terms, to unlock the Devil Wing recipe, you need to achieve the Story Quest title "Glast Heim Terminator" in your Adventure Handbook. Unlocking this title requires that you've completed two previous titles namely, "Glast Heim Discoverer" and "Test of Antiquity." These titles also require a few couple steps to get unlocked. We'll first be listing all of the title quest requirements that are listed in the Adventure Handbook below, followed by a detailed description of each step.

Brief Summary:

  1. You'll need to complete all the Shiny Quests in Glast Heim Chivalry (GH Chivalry) and Glast Heim Hall (GH Hall);
  2. Defeat and collect quest bag loots from 4 different SMVPs, namely, Dracula, Chimera, Randgris and Huge Deviling;
  3. Collect loots from Special-Named Mobs in GH Chivalry (8 mobs) and GH Hall (9 mobs), and finally;
  4. Finish 3 Elite Quests that unlock at base level 88.
Note: Each set of quest can be completed in any order, ie. hunting SMVPs while doing collection quests, shinies and Elite quests. I fully recommend starting on SMVPs as soon as you are able since this takes 4 weeks.

Requirements:

  • At least Base Level 80.
  • Green Stamina for higher chances of looting quest items.
  • A good amount of time and patience.
  • Preferably some music in the background or a movie to fight the boredom that you'll inevitably encounter doing collection quests. ;)
Tip: Farm SMVPs and Named Mobs when your stamina is green. There's a chance that quest bag loots will not drop once it turns yellow and most definitely uber rare to no drops at red. Named Mobs take around a minimum of 2mins to around 5mins+ to respawn and drop mostly one quest bag loot with rare chances of 2x drops because of Lightning Chain.

Definition: "Quest Bag Loots" are special items that do not appear in your inventory but instead, go straight into your Quest Bag. You can check the item's description to know how much of it you need to collect before you can hand it in.

Glast Heim Fog

You'll need to finish up all the shiny quests or "shinies" (star icons on your minimap) in both GH Chivalry and GH Hall. While the title itself only lists three quests, some shiny quests seem to trigger each other (I assume) and the next leg of a shiny quest might not appear unless previous shinies are cleared. It's better if you complete all shiny quests in GH maps, ie. GH Outskirts, GH Culvert and Glast Heim itself. These unlock various other items and recipes in your Adventure Handbook as well as providing a hefty sum of Adventure XP in case you need to level your ranks.

Mechanics:
  1. Open up your minimap and look for star icons.
  2. Pick them up and start the quest.
  3. After completion, you'll receive a quest item that is handed in to an NPC, check your minimap again to find out who. You can also check the item's description to check the NPC's name if your minimap is currently still full of quest notifications. If it's not in your inventory, it should be in your quest bag inside your inventory.
  4. After a small dialogue with the NPC, another item will appear in your inventory. Tap it and select "Put in Adventure Notebook."
  5. Open up your Adventure Notebook and search for the "Collections" tab.
  6. A cross/plus sign will appear on a collection that can be activated, tap on it and once more, activate the newly collected item.
  7. Once all shinies are completed, the last item in a collection can usually be received from the NPC itself. You can also check the description of the last item (greyed out) in your Collections to see which NPC will hand you the last item.
  8. Activate the last item and the whole set of collections should be done.

Note: Some shinies are level-locked and/or require additional quests to be completed before they appear on the minimap. If you are missing a collectible and/or don't have shinies popping up on your minimap, it is advised that you complete all GH quests or level up.

Hidden Truth

These are base level 88 quests in GH Hall that are triggered when you speak to the NPC that provides them. "Reunion of Father and Daughter" is easy to spot as it automatically pings the NPC's location on your minimap. The other two are hidden.

Reunion of Father and Daughter:

Tip: In this quest chain, you'll be asked to look for a hidden NPC which is located around this area:

Strange Enemy

These are collection quests. If you've been around GH Chivalry and GH Hall, you'll notice that there are special mobs whose appearance are similar to the mobs around them though they are bigger, have more HP, and have different names. These drop special items that go straight to your quest bag and each loot needs to be collected a number of times (check item description) before they can be handed in to the collectors located at the entrance of each map. It is also recommended to have green fatigue/stamina or else the loot collection might not drop at a constant rate.

  1. Tattered Four-leaf Clover - 40 pcs.
  2. Dim Love Letter - 30 pcs.
  3. Golden Arrow - 30 pcs.
  4. Mystery Insignia Piece - 40 pcs.
  5. Tattered Soul Imprint - 40 pcs.
  6. Diary Page of Knight - 40 pcs.
  7. Broken Bow - 35 pcs.
  8. Mystery Dyestuff - 40 pcs.

Note: I wouldn't take a chance on yellow stamina, worse, red stamina, since these mobs take a while to respawn (from what I've seen, spawn rates tend to range from around 2 minutes to 5 minutes +) and you might end up wasting your time. It took me around 2-3 days to complete all of the collection quests in GH Hall and GH Chivalry. It is up to you if you have the spare green stamina to allocate for collection quests.

Tip: Special named mobs in GH Hall are easy to hunt if you choose to roam around the map while those in GH Chivalry are harder since the map is full of aggro mobs and the map itself isn't built for roaming, ie. GH Hall has entrances and exits all over the place so you can circle around the map with much ease, GH Chivalry, on the other hand, has walls and blockades everywhere. It's better to just "park" your toon in GH Chivalry if I were you.

Definition: "Park," is when you leave your toon near a mob's spawn location after you've auto-ed on the mob. You can check from time to time to see if your toon is still alive and check the remaining number of items to collect.

Test of Antiquity

This is the quest that we should have been doing since Ragnarok Mobile came out as it takes a minimum of four weeks to complete. Basically, you are required to hunt four different SMVPs (on green stamina, again, to get the quest item) that appear once every week, ie. they rotate and last for a week before the next SMVP arrives. These are Randgris, Huge Deviling, Dracula and Chimera. They are summoned in GH Hall and people who join in on the fight can get their quest loot (again, higher chances on green stamina, lesser on yellow, and even lesser chances on red) so it's better to invite the whole channel to join in.

Mechanics:

How to Unlock Devil Wing Recipe in 'Ragnarok M: Eternal Love'
  1. In GH Hall, head to the bottom left quadrant of the map and look for the cross-like pattern in the middle. If it's the SMVP's spawn time (~2 hours), Summoner mobs should be visible in this area.
  2. Kill all the summoner mobs and the SMVP will appear. A notification should appear on your window as well for all players currently in the GH Hall map.
  3. Landing a (damaging) hit should suffice but you can also help in killing the SMVP. Remember to take a picture of it if you haven't unlocked its mob data in your Adventure Book.
    • There are players that say the penalty for channel hopping does not apply to SMVPs. There's no harm in trying out an SMVP after channel hopping (bec. who has two hours?) but if it does "miss" either; check SMVP's element and race v. your current weapon/attack/m.atk element or party up with people who can hit the SMVP.
    • Randgris - Angel/Holy
    • Huge Deviling - Demon/Shadow
    • Dracula - Demon/Shadow
    • Chimera - Brute/Fire
  4. It is advised that you call on the whole channel to participate in the SMVP hunt before summoning the SMVP so that others can get a chance to collect quest items and help bring down the SMVP faster.
  5. MVP mechanics apply (first hit, last hit, most damage) but is not necessary to get the quest item. Green stamina is what you most definitely need.
  6. Once killed, you can hand in the quest item to the Morgul NPC near the GH Hall entrance. Don't forget to activate the item in your Collections tab.
  7. You can now wait for the next week for the next SMVP or help out other players and maybe gun for MVP status on the SMVP of the week.

Afterthoughts:

  • I will say this again, I highly advise doing collection quests on green stamina to get a loot rate of ~100% from mobs and SMVPs. You can take a chance on yellow and worse, red stamina, but due to the spawn times and rarity of SMVPs, you might end up wasting a couple of minutes to hours.
  • Lightning Chain sometimes proccs during collection quests. I would, at times, get two quest items. Others, however, say that the drop chance is still random and some have looted two quest items with no lightning chain on. Better to be safe than sorry, though. :)
  • Shinies/Star quests do not need green stamina.
  • Completing all GH quests is not mostly required but if you end up missing a few quests or star icons, it is recommended that these quests be completed.
  • Some quests are locked behind base levels. Level up your toon! (~80+)
  • Unlocking the Devil Wing requires a lot of patience, stamina, and determination. Good luck!
  • For Black Wing materials needed to craft the Devil Wing, you can either hunt Baphomet Jr. Star, buy them daily using Adventure Meatballs, or complete daily quests from the NPC in GH Hall (beside entrance). As I have never started Night of Destruction (NOD) and can find no resource that lists rewards (yet), I am not so sure if NOD rewards Black Wings as well. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Hello! Thank you for reading. If we have made any errors or mistakes, don't hesitate to point them out in the comments section down below or send us an email. Any and all questions regarding this particular set of quests will be entertained.

Updates:

  • Channel Hopping x SMVP x Element and Race
  • Requirements added.
  • Based on player input from others, green stamina does not guarantee 100% loot rate but higher chances over yellow and red; or basically, stamina affects collection quests.

  4. Thanks so much for this!!

To Unlock, DW, do I need to collect all the Special Mobs drops?

Ie: Dragon Scale on the image says 20 pcs.

  5. The chance of getting 2 quest items from the collection is not from Lightning Chain, it's just a random chance since sometimes I do get 2 without chain.

  7. Channel hopping is confirmed. You can earn quest items and even the medals even though you "miss", just keep attacking and receiving damage. I did it for two (2) SMVPs.

  13. Is dmg +5% still affects your m.dmg?
So if it is, the total dmg from dmg +5% & m.dmg +5% is m.dmg10%?

    1. Nope. It's a bit confusing but if an item lists both dmg and m.dmg, it usually means dmg as physical damage and m.dmg as magic damage. So no, they don't add together. :)
